The Evaluation of Space: Part 5a

Or

"An French mans home is his castle’"

The May 68 riots were fully supported by the majority of French Unions, especially the Confederation Francaise democratique de Traveil (C.F.D.T.) and Conferderation General du Travail (C.G.T.). Not just by a lone student population trying to shit stir up. They striked, rioted and were arrested in hope for a better life. So, what have they got to show for their actions now?

I know that it took place in France and I’m English, taking photographs in my home country. But in retrospective the ”sprit of 69” never changed a thing. No heads rolled this time and everyone just went back to work when the unions gave in, then gave the order to return to then stations.

They say ‘An English man’s home is his castle’.

And I suppose this is true to everyone all over the world. This is the most valuable commodity that anyone is going to own in their lifetime. Along with all their positions that contained within the walls, on their own plot of land. Especially when this plot of land is the closest thing to utopia as you can get in an uber-capitalist dream. Suburbia.
